Let me make this as clear as I possibly can. Sexually abusive, vulgar, obscene or threatining PMs are NOT PERMITTED ever. ANYONE who gets one should copy me immediately with the exact message and the user who sent it. I will deal with them ASAP. Please don't ever think you need to become a lynch mob, or vendetta or handle it yourself. My number one priority is the safety and security of our users. Period.

Should someone want to contact me outside the PM system for a faster response (contrary to popular opinion I don't monitor everything 24 hours a day!) please feel free to do so.  Rob@AustinWineGuy.com or Rob@thecellaraustin.com. both come to the same email box.

Laura is quite correct on all accounts.

FA

Then WHY have you NOT replied to my email which was sent to you over a moth ago now?

Two reasons:
1. I don't recall seeing any email from you
2. That was exactly the time my mother was in her last illness and died.  I had to bury her, deal with her estate and family issues and the petty whining of self centered forum users who don't like the way I run things and don't appreciate the huge amount of time and work this place takes and feel somehow ENTITLED to preach to me wasn't the most important thing on my plate at the time.

I'm very sorry about your mother, but don't you think that a month is long anyway? I don't say that reading e-mails from forum members is the most important thing when your mother's dying but it would be nice if you treat the other members(even if you consider their messages as 'petty whining of self centered forum users who don't like the way I run things and don't appreciate the huge amount of time and work this place takes and feel somehow ENTITLED to preach to me wasn't the most important thing on my plate at the time.') with little more respect?

Apparently that's the way they are.

Got that right Lindelle... treat us with more respect. I am sorry to hear about your mother's passing, truly I am FA, but if you find us annoying say so yourself, do not just ignore us....

Please see #1 in my response. I DONT RECALL SEEING THIS EMAIL....

I didn't say I intentionally ignored anyone. Just rather MAYBE I was involved in more important things than annoyed children in the forum....

Rest assured that if I had seen ANYTHING regarding sexual, harassing, obscene or vulgar PMs I would have taken immediate action.  THOSE issues are my #1priority here.  To date, the only emails I seem to have gotten are about one faction of users who don't "like" one particular user and want me to ban the user they don't like. I can't take sides in matters like this. So long as any user does not violate my rules, they can be "unpleasant" or "rude" in the view of some people. That is the price of free speech for all. When a users crosses the line, then I will do something about it.

The same thing happens to guys as well. Not as often perhaps,  but it does occur. As far as FA responses, stop whining. He does take care of important matters.

I totally agree with this, cause so far no one has them, i can't post my beliefs or my opinions, atleast not without being attacked about it. Basically what i have been told is, you have no right to state your belief, its against the rules. Kind

safe forum, what a completle lie that is. Sexual harrasment, bullying, rude comments and/or personal messages. What has become of this world?

@ForumAdmin
you somehow missed my point-I really didn't say that you HAVE to response every e-mail(especially when family member is ill or dying). I just wish that you treat even those young members with more respect-even if they are whining.

From what i read in other sites and post, comments, etc.. many people have been very rude, i even have seen sites showing FA being rude and mean, no affence, but some people just seem to have no decency of kindness in them.

Its horrible, i try to be a kind person, if i haven't, i am sorry. But alot of people have been very rude, and it seriously needs to stop.

Remember BeautyQueen? i would be suprised if you don't. I mean you did insult her, call her rude names, and attacked her, just because she made threads that others had made in the past. I mean she didn't even know people have made them before!!.. breaking your own rules, wow.

You are here as a guest in our home. This is not a free streetcorner in Washington DC, where you live. I am not here to be liked. I am here to keep order and peace among the nearly 8000 users, and keep the nearly half million postings orderly and on topic. My primary job is to keep the Forum safe for users, to keep out the spammers, pornography and other criminal elements that have tried and still try to come in here daily....

No one forced you to come here. No one compels you to remain. If you like it here, great, you are welcomed. If you don't like it here, why do you stay?

Further, given you live in and post from the metro DC area, your pretending to not know English very well is suspicious. Of course, perhaps you are a foreigner in the area.

Further, I myself am Jewish.  Your attitude seems to not display any regard for Torah.
