The book "HMS Sheffield The Life and Times of Old Shiny" Ron Basset has 3 or 4 pictures of the Duchess of Kent this was the first ship she launched and she did visit the ship a number of times over the years. Note: some of the things mentioned in the book may seem strange to modern readers. Like for the US cub scout writing the Admiralty for artifacts and getting a Cutlass (!?) and a spyglass. Note : in England they banded boy scouts from carrying pocket knives a few years ago.

As for them becoming King and Queen of Poland. There chances were about non-exhistant. Poland pre-WW II was a military dictatorship and was not all that politacaly stable.

That is not correct.  Poland between the Wars was a republic. Did you mean to write post-WW 11?

According to "Bitter Glory" by Richard M Watt and other books the Polish army seized power in a coup in 1926 and the country remained a military dictatorship until it was overrun by the Germans and Russians in 1939. Note in Pre WW II Poland there were large numbers of Jews, germans, Belorussians, and Ukarinians living in Poland who were treated like second class citizens by the Poles. The Post WW II Polish state was mostly all Polish.

I think this was from the lead-up celebrations to the coronation of George VI in 1937. There were a lot of parties and dinners in the preceding weeks.
