I am only going on comparisons here Margot. In an age of Fergies, Mett Merrits or Letizia...Olga's title bears little in comparison. At least both of them have royal blood and decended from the great Dynasty of Glucksborg in Denmark. I seriously think Augusta would be turning in her grave of the antics of Fergie.

I think it was taken around the time of her marriage. The lady could be a lady in waiting.

I was wondering if any of our APers might have an answer to a question we received at the library the other day. It was from a British gentleman who had 3 photos of the Duke of Kent touring Langley Air Force Base (where we are) and which was then Langley Field. He could find little to nothing of it in the British papers.

I was wondering if anyone here knew anything of it? It was in the summer of 1941. Kent was on a tour of Canadian bases and there's some indication he went to DC--only a few hours from Langley (in Hampton VA).

The gentleman wanted some background info for his photos but we didn't have anything going back that far though we did refer his information request to the base historian.

I did find a copy of a photo of him arriving at La Guardia onboard a Canadian cargo plane. He visited President Roosevelt (according to a previous secret memo) and then seemed to go back to Canada to finish his tour.
