At King Paul of Greece's wedding



I really like this photo--when I first look at it, it always seems as if Marina is snuggled up behind him.

I'm in love with him.
Recently watched a dvd about the Queen and he was in it. I keep it on the 'pause' button' for quite a while.

Marina beside her husband, not behind. To their left, stands Princess Olga of Yugoslavia. I thank Grandduchess Ella have posted this detail that enabled me to identify the Princess Paul which we do not see the face on my picture. I always had doubts about her identity, not knowing which of the two Marina's sisters she was, Olga, or Elizabeth.

And thank you for having started a second part of my thread about George and Marina. The first, due to its large number of pages, was indeed at an end.

Yes, it's true. Appearantly he had affairs with both men and women, and it's also believed he had a drug addiction.

I know for addiction to drugs, a little less for his male relations. But I think after his marriage to Marina, he never touched drugs. Anyway, Marina was judged by George V and Mary as the ideal daughter-in-law who saved permanently George vices.

George had a lover in Paris and he wrote some revealing letters. When he broke up with the young man, he threatened to publish them. The RF had to buy them back. The legend was that QM threw them into the fire...Also when George died, Noel Coward cried throughout the service. When Marina attempted to comfort him, he said "You don't understand, I got him first !"
