I was wondering does anyone know what happened to some of Helena's jewels after her death? I am hoping Ashdean might be able to help here!!! I assume that Helena Victoria and Marie Louise got most of the contents of Helena's jewel chest and perhaps Albert got some too. But what became of the jewels thereafter? I can't say I remember seeing any of the following pieces in the Gloucester collection to date! Perhaps some pieces went to Lady Patricia Ramsay who inherited Marie Louise's Honeysuckle tiara.

But what ever became of these pieces?

Does anyone have or know where I could find a photo of the grave of Prince Christian Victor.  His grave is in the cemetery in Petoria, So. Africa.

I have a photo from a postcard but no way to access it. It is a simple grave, with a granite cross and a small iron fence surrounding the plot. Nothing ornate about it. There was some vandalism right before his mother came to visit his grave but no permanent damage.

There is a memorial to Christian Victor and other South African War casualties not far from the Citadel in Plymouth. I will try to remember to take my camera next time I go that way.
