I second you, Alexandra is maybe the most beautiful royal lady ever. 

Can I third that if no one else hasn't already?  There's no era of Alexandra's dress or hairstyle I ardently dislike.

I love the series of Alix and Bertie with their young children.  As the sitting progress you can really see the "meltdown" of little Georgie!

I believe that when this photograph was taken, she was still very much recovering from the trauma she endured during her bout of Rheumatic fever earlier in the year! I believe this photograph dates from sometime in mid 1867.
 

You are right, that photograph is part of a series taken in July 1867, few months after the birth of princess Louise, when Alexandra was still in the process of recovery from her illness.

later Princess Alexandra, Duchess of Fife when her grandfathr became king and at the time of death of her father. she married Prince Arthur of Connaught (her mother's first cousin, son of Arthur, Duke of Connaught) and had a son Alastair.

Indeed. You can see why Alix outshines all her daughters. Another photo of the same background stood VMH, Irene and Alix of Hesse. Sad they did not all take a photo togather. Love to see Alix of Wales with Alix of Hesse togather.
