Yes, I think Thyra was beautiful throughout her life as well.  Much prettier than many other royals at the time (at least that's MHO).

Woah--I just noticed somthing--look in the shadows behind little Waldemar's shoulders, and you can see George V, and it looks like Louise! I'm guessing this is just a reflection from another page, but it looks spooky!  :D

Wow, you can! It looks like it's probably from GV's wedding photo with Toria next to him.

I think Thyra aged well (I've defended her looks before) but her teen years weren't her best (whose are?).

I think Thyra's daughters were prettier than Alexandra's or Dagmar's

That is definitely true (IMO). The Cumberland girls were all lovely.

I think we mentioned it in the Thyra thread (?) the irony of the 'plainest' of C&L's daughters and Ernst August (NEVER called good-looking on his best day) produced such uniformly attractive children.

Axel grew up to be very good-looking, I think. He reminds me of some actor whose name I can't place. He married Ingeborg's daughter Margarethe.

Here's a great photo I came across. A male variation of the 4 generations photos we see so often. Christian IX, George I of Greece, Constantine I and George II, 4 Kings:

I'm a bit confused & haven't a family tree to hand. Is Christian IX the father or brother of George I? (On the pciture it could be either?

In the last picture Christian IX is holding his great-grandson Frederik IX, father of the present Queen of Denmark.

One of my personal favourite pics- the composition itself shows some imagination. Unlike so many of this period.
