In Honnor of Alexei

Have you done anything at all since you've learned of the Romanovs to honor or pay tribute to Alexei? If so list it here. I think it would be nice to show what others have done.

I actually named one of my new kittens Alexei, I tried to get my brother to go with other names like that but he wouldn't budge.

I'm thinking of getting a tatoo involving the romanovs but I still don't have a particular idea how it should look like.

Would you get there names, or just something else involving them? Also that sounds like a cool idea.

I've made wallpapers and video montages...That's about it for now. I can share them here if you like.

I think that to honour Alexis in a special way...I must be a woman who is ready to live and to die for her ideals. He suffered terribily in his life, but tried to make other's life happy, and not to complain about his own suffering, wich for being an hemophile must have been awful.

Being a good Christian - or rather trying to be so -, not to complain too often, believing in family and simple things of life is my tribute to Alexei.

Well, I really like Alexei's name! It's on my fave-names list ( ididn'tk that I had one, but it is ok xD).
In Brazil we have Alex, it's more common than Alexei.

Well, I'm not really one for hero worship or following any other human being, since they're absolutely no better than me and make just as many mistakes as I do. You simply cannot say any of the children never complained about their situations in life. That would just be ignorant. Alexei did complaind about his illness.

But I do know that each of the Romanovs were highly interesting individuals who have had a HUGE impact on my life for almost a decade now. I have no doubt in my mind that I would not be in college majoring in Russian right now if I had never heard of them and I know I would never have met all of the close friends I've met if I hadn't.

I worked extremely hard for the chance to study in Russia, simply to see the places they lived and to pay my respects where their remains are now.

I know, Holly, and I agree. But their lives, for me, is more than an inspiration. They were human, so like us, but at the same time, so different, so magnificent... I wish I can, someday, meet Russia. Their history has been present in my life since I was 12. I intend to do everything I can to honor them the  best way I can. I wish to study their history, study everything about their lives, and to spread it. I wish their love were known by everyone.

When I say I intend to follow their example, I mean I intend to follow their love and faith example. That's something I admire about them, and something I want for my life.

RealAnastasia, truer words have never been spoken. I stick with your philosophy in my life i also make a point of spending about 40 minutes evry year on August 12 to pray for Russia.
