It would be interesting to know more about Ingaborg as a person.

I read somewhere that Ingeborg was against her brother's Karl election to the King of Norway. She even really intrigued against him. Probably becouse of her being a spouse of a Swedish Prince.

Indeed. In some of the books on King Haakon, his sister was against him due to confliction interests to her devotion to the Swedish Royal Family.

I think was reported in Northern Crowns by John van der Kiste. She also had a conflict of interest in that her husband, Charles (Carl) was mentioned as a possible King of Norway.

Yes. But Charles was more suitable since his wife was English, and has a son.

Could anyone provide me with photos of Princess Thyra in old age ? And did she inherit any jewelry from her mother Queen Louisa that is now in the Danish royal family ?

Yes, Princess Thyra left most of her jewelry to her Danish nieces, daughters of Prince Harald and Princess Helena. Their daughter, Princess Caroline Mathilde married Prince Knud of Denmark (son of Christian X), and their children and their spouses wear Thyras jewelry, including a tiara that is currently at display at the Amalienborg Palace Museum.

Princess Louise and Prince Friedrich of Schaumburg-Lippe

This was taken in September 1894 at the time of Louise & Friedrich's engagement - it was on Louise's grandmother's (Queen Louise) birthday  that the engagement was officially annouced.

Excellent pic kmerov!!

Thank you, Kevin. :)

I just realised that Louise died the same day as her father in-law, Prince Wilhelm of Schaumburg-Lippe.

Yes Prinz Wilhelm died at approximately 4 am, while his daughter-in-law Princess Louise was in the last stages of her illness, she had lapsed in to unconsciousness on the 2nd of April.

Princess Louise looked wistful. Maybe she was tired.
