I have known Robin for many years, long before he started at Hatchard's.  I have never had a problem with him and he has gone "extra" in finding things for me. Admittedly, he is not very discreet in showing his attitude towards SOME Americans, well actually SOME anybodys.  I think this  is because he deals with so many tourists, which, frankly, is why that store still exists, off Picadilly Sq. for goodness sake !
I still shop there every year as well. although I  have seen their royalty section dwindle.

Same here ... I have had Robin come back from lunch early when he knew I was coming to the store.
