Czar Nicholas II Chocolates
« on: January 11, 2009, 04:06:12 AM »
This may or may not be the right place to post this topic, my sincerest apologies if it's not, but I figured I'd post them with their namesake. Anyways, I was looking on amazon.com a few days ago for more books about Nicholas II and I stumbled across this product: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B0013LUJE2/ref=ord_cart_shr?%5Fencoding=UTF8&m=AH51NN63GPA6P&v=glance The different types of chocolates sound very delicious and I will be getting some for myself very soon. I was just curious if anyone has sampled these or not.
Many thanks!

LOL! It says that there's 58 to a box, so I think it might take you a little longer than you say.  ;D

I am no one to question chocolate, of all things, but here I am doing so!  Why?  How odd - Nicholas II chocolates??  I'd love to see a commercial!  How on earth would they endorse these?

Well, you know they have did commercials with people long dead endorsing various products. I think all they need is some sort of film of the person and they can do all sorts of crazy things with it. I remember the commercials with Fred Astaire dancing with the vaccuum, and also, IIRC they did something similar not too long ago with Mustafa Kemal Ataturk (the Founder and 1st President of Turkey) endorsing a product on Turkish television. Perhaps they could doctor the film of Nicholas declaring war on Germany from the Winter Palace Balcony and instead have him telling us to buy his delicious box of 58 chocolates? Just an idea!  :D

I remember those Diet Coke ads from the early 1990's, where they digitall inserted Humphry Bogart, James Cagney, and Louis Armstrong into a commerical with Elton John.  Did a pretty good job of it.

Might be a little more hard with Nicky, because film of him is so old, and it's all silent (talking pictures didn't start until the late 1920's)
Cats: You just gotta love them!
