OTMA seemed to wear these outfits alot. i was wondering, does any body know what colours they were and what material they were.

Looks like could be wool, or flannel or some warm, thick fabric. Maybe thick jersey?

I searched the internet and couldn't find anything but would think GrandDuchessAlly's proposal maybe correct. I would imagine they were rather itchy.

yeah if they were wool or flannel or something along those lines they probably were rather itchy (at first)

On the subject of clothes fabric, does anyone know what the 1914 formal dresses were made of?

im not sure exactly because i dont know fabrics very well. but it might be chiffon.

Chiffon, yes...
I don't know much about fabrics myself, either.
I don't think they would have been silk, they looks to transparent for silk, perhaps gauze? Or gauze over silk... I will have to look at the fabric store next time I'm there for something that looks similar.
