If i look at Alice´s face i see so much of her daugthers.. Victorias eyes, Irenes nose, Ellas tenderness, Alix shynes.. Their daugthers look so much like her...So beautifull

Please do credit the Royal Collection if you post their pictures. I don't think they would be happy about the spreading their images without crediting them.

I don't think they want them spread at all since they've attempted to disable some downloading ability. It would probably be best to just post links to the relevant photos. That should avoid the problem, allow the photos to be shared (as they are wonderful) and, in the future, if the photos become disabled it would prevent the endless red x boxes we have on just about every post.

Eric, the portrait was painted in 1860; I don't recall what year Vicky was married.

Prince Albert's pet name for Alice was "Fatima" but it was not taken up in the next generation as "Vicky" or "Bertie"...
