Look closely:

Is that an example of the illness, or is she just scrunching her toes?

Is that Alexandra? She looks a lot older, and a lot different.

Yupp Alix is holding Anastasia. She might look different because she might have just woke up or something. I think in that picture you can  really see her facial features very well.

If by "thing" you mean cryptorchidism, it does not go away.  Today, if you had a child with this condition, he would have surgery to correct his anatomy.

If you mean something different, please try to be a bit more specific and I'll see what I can do!

It didn't.  It was a chronic condition.  Kind of like if you were born without a pinkie on one hand.

It is OK.  All it means instead of having 2 testicles in his scrotum, like all normal males, Alexei had one testicle still inside him--that is what undescended means.  Before a baby is born the two testicles descend into place.  If a child is born today with this problem a surgical procedure will help the 2nd testicle descend.

His "u no what" was just fine!!  ;)

Probably just fine.  It is one of those things that is just an OOPS of nature, and I do not believe there is a genetic cause....
