Sorry it took so long for me to respond to your question.  This picture is from "Royal Cabinet Portraits of the Victorian Era" by David William Cripps.  I will try to post more soon.  What persons are you most interested in seeing?  I asume Princess/Queen Alexandra :)

Here is one from about 1863:

Speedycat:
Ooooh, your photo is gorgeous!!!  You are absolutely right, now that I look more closely at the jewelry.  Speaking of jewelry, have you looked at the book, "Tiaras, A History of Splendour" by Geoffrey C. Munn?  I just love it and get it out of the library about once a month! :D

BTW, this may be a bit off topic.  As a fan of the late Princess Diana I see a striking resemblence in the style of Diana and Alexandra.  How they started out simply as "clothes horses" admired and copied by the general public.  Then as they grew older and adjusted to the "interesting twists" of their married lives, their styles matured and became even more spectacular.

grandduchessella:
Thanks Speedy. I DO have the Munn book--it's great. I hemmed and hawed because of the price (and of course our library doesn't have it) I finally got the thumbs up from martyn (whose word on jewelry is final with me!) who said go for it. Haven't regretted it at all. I can go back and look at it over and over and find something new each time. I'm also going to get Vincent Meylan's book on royal jewelry--The Queen's Jewels. I've heard good things about it. And I have Leslie Field and Suzy Menkes books on Windsor jewelry. I enjoy seeing jewels from other countries though and the Meylan book is good at that.

There has actually been a good bit written comparing Alix and Diana--their immense popularity, cheating husbands, press adoration, common touch, fashion sense, beauty, not recognized as intellectuals, etc... There was an article years ago in Royalty magazine I think that did a comparison on the two. Luckily for Alix that while Bertie cheated he was never unkind to her (based on the conduct of the times--now we'd look at cheating period as unkind) the way Charles apparently was. The two realized their differences and established a strong relationship after some rocky points and doted on their family.
