Like I said in earlier post, book was published in 1927. It was translated from the Russian by Oswald Rayner, M. A. Barrister-At-Law. The complete title is, " Rasputin, His Malignant Influnce and his Assassination.
The book is somewhat formal in it's execution, not a lot of Felix in the writing. Maybe the translator lost the personnal element from the french to English. Who knows, will let you know more when finished. There are some areas that are the same as Lost Splendor.
One chapter gives quite a vivid description on the discovery of Rasputin in the river and the following autopsy.
