Was good to see the next Couple in line of Royal weddings at the wedding in Monaco today!
They looked marvellous!

It's countdown time! The wedding is this coming Saturday, August 27th, in Potsdam. The ceremony will take place in the Church of Peace on the grounds of the royal park, within a few feet of the room where Vicky and Fritz rest in peace. The guest list numbers about 700. They are a very handsome couple; and this is the TRUE royal wedding of the year.

As I said before, I hope they get the best of both worlds and I hope God guards and sanctifies this union.

Not to gloom a happy day, but, St. Dr. Otto von Hapsburg passed, and you can rest assured, He will be at this wedding.

Seriously, keep your eyes open for a genuine miracle--My bones just tell me, he will be there.

No guestlist. Bunte wrote that Alois and Sophie of Liechtenstein, Alexander von Schaumburg-Lippe with wife Nadja Anna and Ernst August von Hannover are coming.
Michaela Blankart, the director of the general representation of the Hohenzollern, said that no Queen will come, neither a Princess from a major house. Of course their are representative.
I have the suspicion, that Prince Albert would come. We will see Saturday

While no queen is attending, was EII at least invited along with other british royals? Or have the family ties remained broken in spite of some notable meetings over the years?

AFAIK they sent to all Royal Houses invitations. Maybe they sent the Kents?
Crown Princess Margareta and Prince Radu of Romania are attending the event.

After the Church of Peace ceremony tomorrow, the couple will ride through the streets of Potsdam in an open horse-drawn carriage for well-wishers to cheer them.
