He certainly has. There is something so boyish about him. :-) grandduchessella, this was not meant personally in any way. I know you were referring to royalty in general I was just trying to explain why Georg decided against it in this case. I am also aware that you know when the German monarchy ended. lol What I was trying to say was that uniforms and such fit more into countries where monarchy is still active.
By the way, the German magazine BUNTE has a great coverage of the wedding with great photos. I would offer to scan some photos but I guess that would be against copyrights.
Does BUNTE have a site with photos--you could always post a link?
As I said, I don't think it would've been mentioned by People magazine at all if not for the uptick in interest following the William/Kate nuptials. I think they underestimate how much people would be interested in some of the other royal weddings and events if they just covered them at all. I would certainly rather read about some of the European royals (even ones without thrones) than the latest reality star exploits.

(Though I do my fair share of reality TV watching. LOL) That's pretty much who is covered now by even a mainstream magazine like People--unless it's Brad & Angelina. If they are so short of 'stars' to do stories on, why not focus on a couple such as this--especially if, as you point out, they live of a life of expanded interests as well as possessing the glamorous backstory.
Personally, it's when an event like this occurs that it peaks my interest in some of the more modern royals. I think if they were covered more, it would work in the fashion of creating more interest--if that makes sense. Instead, the media has to create 'celebrities' (using that term loosely).
