That's a funny pose - he looks like he's dancing.  : )  Where is this, and is the gentleman on the left by the car wearing a Prussian helmet?

I think he is beginning to walk forward.  I also thought Prussian and I was wondering if it was Bismark or Hindenburg?

Oh, I doubt very much that he is dancing, it just looks like he is.  I think you're right - could be Bismarck.  Not so sure about Hindenburg.

It's certainly not Bismarck, who was dismissed by the Kaiser in 1890 and died in 1898, so too early for cars. I don't think it's Hindenburg either. It doesn't look particularly like him - the moustache is quite different. Also, Hindenburg was a relatively minor figure before he was brought back from retirement and given command of the German army in East Prussia in Auguest 1914.

These are really great! I love the one of Nicholas mounting the horse - I've never seen one of him doing something like that before. He also looks like he might be smiling in the first one - wish it was just a tiny bit more clear ...

Thanks - is it just me or does Nicholas have large feet for as small and slight as he was otherwise?

I've never noticed disproportionate feet.  Could it be just the boots?

Those are great VOF! Those are new to me, thanks for sharing!
You have a great resource for photos eh? : D

Voyager of Freedom has been posting photographs that do not have their owner's permission to be posted. They have been removed.  We are now in the process of identifying all the other photos posted from Eurohistory without Arturo's permission.  Arturo owns the original negatives of these photos and thus he owns the copyright for use of these images.  These were stolen off his ebay listings.

We take copyright violation very seriously.  This is a public warning to Voyager of History to cease immediately from using photos off the internet without first obtaining the permission of the owner. Any further posting of Eurohistory photographs without Arturos WRITTEN permission will result in a "time out" from the Forum.

Well that would explain why so many of them are new. Awesome collection Arturo.

I don't believe VOF posted them with the intent to offend/harm anyone, but I understand your rules FA.

I feel guilty too because I post some images from that seller too. I will now send a message to the Forum Admin to delete them. As I often see photos or postcards from ebay here, I thought there wasn't any problem posting them, but know I realise it wasn't like that. I'm so sorry =(

There is no problem unless the owner of the image objects to it being used. Many people love to share their images, others do not because they sell the images.  It is always best to contact the owner of an image before you grab and post it here. Many people consider our site educational in nature and are happy to let them be used. ALWAYS ask permission first and nobody will ever have a problem.

I have an obligation to remove any copyrighted images or material when asked by the owner.
