Instead of posting the photo itself, why not post a link to the auction or site where you found it? That way APTM members will have the opportunity to click through and see it without violating copyright.

If i have understood well, so i can post a url adress to, for example, an ebay page where there' s a pic in which we would be interested, and i'll do nothing wrong, 'cause with a right click you'll go straight to the page. Is it right?

Auctions are the place where you may look at the pictures, but should know that the owner of the picture has posted it and wants to sell it, not to have it reproduced over and over and then brought to other sites where others can see it for free.

These photos in auction are originals, no ? Their value is material, this is easy to understand. But who can appropriate figure of Romanov's family, they belong to nobody except themselves. There's something I don't understand.
About scanning a book, I admit that this is a bit special. But if I have the great chance to have an original photography, I wouldn't care about seeing it on the web as nothing would substitute the paper value of this picture.

I read in another place of this forum that its was totally forbidden to post  ebay links . I dont know if its the same thing for other auction places

Yes, auction links are not permitted. One, the image is obviously for sale and you do not have the owner's permission to reproduce it and secondly, we do not permit advertising for auction items specifically.

To judge by the solar topees and the people in the back row, I'd say that picture was taken in India.

Nicholas II was only 5 feet, 5 inches tall.  Short, just like his mother.

As an adult, he only came up to AIII's shoulder ... if you look closely, you'll see that he's standing on one of the rails. I like how all the girls' skirts are different lengths, and did anyone else notice that someone is hanging out the window of the Imperial train?  ;)
