Never saw the Little Pair with officers and Xmas tree photo so full and clear! Thanks! In the group photo, the one gentleman wearing a suit,
and not a uniform, was the director of the Little Pair's hospital Here are some other photos taken around the same time.

Alix is taking the famous photo of TN and Dmitri Malama in a wheel chair
Then the Big Pair is playing croquet with wounded...AF is there as well

Maria always looks so radiant in the hospital photos. Anastasia, too. Especially in the bluish tinted one; it seems they were truly happy to be bringing joy into those poor soldiers' lives.

BlessOTMA, thanks for that photo of Alexandra Feodorovna taking the photo of Dmitri M. and Tatiana...It seems Dmitri is eating something! Tatiana looks so happy...Alexandra can't figure out the camera!  :D

Great pictures, Antonia!  :) I cannot seem to pick out Olga and Tatiana in the bluish group photo... ???

That's the interesting part. People had to look down on top of the camera for the view finder! It's a wonder they took such good photos!
 I don't think the Big Pair are in that group. It's the Little Pair's show there

Whenever I saw this next photo before, I never saw OTMA in it , but this time, they popped out at me, ( thanks, Antonina  for posting it! ) wearing those close fitting hats with the big dark flowers and neck bands.  I believe the order they are sitting in is:  Olga closest to us ,then Marie and then TN and AN?

I'm not use to seeing such a small , official group...just big ceremonies and family photos. But here is the lady in waiting , ADCs  and a priest. It's an unusal view.

 

perhaps it's from the same day as this photo since they are from the same group

I sometimes think "i don't have as many photos as the others" but then i remember that if i had anything, i'd have nothing more to look for!

I would risk a datation for the picture of OTMA hearing the concert Antonina sent, and, probably for the one Bless-OTMA provived for an hat comparaison.
Let us read in Sisters of mercy Maria's letter of the 5.04.1915 to her father: "The 4 of us came to our lazaret. The concert was a great success. Delazari was very kind, he told a lot of funny stories. Then one women wearing a sarafan (russian traditionnal cloth, see the picture) danced the russian (she was too affected). My Demenkov was very kind, he presented us all the artists."

Love it! And I especially love the look on Daddy Nicky's face - you almost expect him to do the "I've got my eyes on you!" finger motion. Did he like Mashka as much as she liked him?

That's actually a man named Butakov. He's sometimes mistaken for Demenkov.
