a little while ago that 2nd photo was posted with notes on who was who made by TN....is that what you mean by signed?  It's also interesting because there is a copy of Alix's and the girls official photo, wearing the cross , above every one's head...and they are wearing the all white uniforms in the group photo ...makes sense they would be for a day of mostly work . I think there is a nursing thread, but I have lost tack of it

Olga and Tatiana with wounded : http://s12.radikal.ru/i185/1107/c9/4d8caf428689.png

( One can see the screen from the family's own sick room in the background)

The screen in NAOTMAA's sickroom was smoother, much larger, and made with a different fabric:

Thank you! I thought the fabric was the same . But clearly it's not .
I just realized the wounded soldier standing with the girls has lost his left arm. It's said TN was reserved, but I find her gesture here moving .  She's often photographed  at least touching bed or the bed sheets of the wounded....making a connection

The first label says "Grand Duchess Marija" but it seems much more Tat'jana...

Anyway, wonderful find... thanks!

Wonderful! I can't make out if the second girl is Tatiana or Olga... I think it's Tatiana.

IMO the first is Olga and the second Tatiana.

Where did you find them?

Where did you find them?

I found them in a book I got in saint Petersburg, Russia this summer. It's in russian so I am not sure of the exact title. It is an amazing book.

Well thank you very much! I love them both! Olga and Alexis at Peterhof and TN and the Tsar, arguably the two most reserved of the family , doing something a little  wild and crazy! lol! There is a famous photo of Olga sitting up there as well with a sailor near by , perhaps taken at the same time . Thanks again

I have this labeled as 1905, Polar Star (you can tell by the sailor's hat):

Perhaps the similar photo of TN & NII was also taken aboard Polar Star.
