Online "book"
« on: June 25, 2011, 04:48:32 PM »
Here is what I've found :
http://www.litkonkurs.ru/?dr=45&tid=236394&pid=0

It seems to be a text about tsar's daughters with facts and no inventions.

As it is quite uneasy to read on screen and quite long to print, I wanted to know if somebody has already read it. And if you did, is it worth being printed ?

I've read it and I've found more than a few inventions of the author. I don't think it's worth being printed.

It reminds me of The Last Tsar by Radzinsky in the style. Although there are some well-known memoirs scattered occasionally, it's a lot of romanticizing and imaginings on the authors part.
"Господь им дал дар по молитвам их размягчать окаменелые наши сердца за их страдания..Мне думается, что если люди будут молиться Царской Cемье, оттают сердца с Божией помощью."

Great, thank you !

Thinking of Radzinsky, I can imagine what it can be : uselessly tearful, as if events were not already enough dramatics. This is what I remember from the The last tsar. In that sense, Massie was a real "historian-investigator"

Yep, that's exactly right.

Radzinksy was obviously passionate and very moved by their story but one's own visions and imaginings aren't usually correct. (I think it's due to Radzinksy's being a playwright.)
