In my experience, and I have been to Monaco several times, the royals were never there. I think it is usually big events such as the circus and  the race, weddings, funerals, etc.  He can run the country from anywhere if he likes.

Robert, can I assume you are talking about the current family, HSH Albert II etc?  It seemed as if Grace and Rainier were "home" much more than their children are within the principality.  Would this be a fair statement or not really?

Both were on the Oscar's red carpet tonight looking nice.

30 years this September since Princess Grace passed away :-( Coinciding with the most angry letters the newspaper I used to work for ever received for a story/headline. The headline, in reference to a different news story (same day the 76ers acquired MVP Moses Malone from Houston), read "Holy Moses!". Underneath a picture of the terrible automobile wreckage. That she was from Philadelphia made people all the more sensitive of course.

In viewing the photos of Albert & Charlene's visit to Germany, I am going to refer to her as Princess Botox from now on.

Well, there is an enormous amount of pressure on somebody like Charlene to look perfect at all times.  Every time she steps outside her door (and maybe even within it) she is stared at and scrutinized.  It must be hard but surely she would not need that much help with botox at her young age?

Just a quick reminder of the FA's rules about the respectful treatment of living royals. He doesn't really care for nicknames--deserved or not--for current royals. We had this come up some time back with one of the Bulgarian princesses as well as with Camilla. Bob and Rob have personal dealings with many of them and it would seem rather disrespectful for them to be called out in looks on a forum that they created and run. This isn't to say no criticisms can be made or discussions on such issues as the public pressure and the need to look good, just that it not descend into snark. Thanks.  :)
