ok, so i know these two must have been mentioned on about a million threads, but i was thinking.....
i have no doubt in my mind that nothing ever happened between alix and rasputin, i am 100% filled with certainty that not only was her fidelity to nicholas complete but also that he would have never been stupid enough to try anything.
but just for the sake of it, if alix, for instance during a state of hysteria had somehow initiated a situation..........would he have even responded to it? i mean there are all of the rumours (and facts) that he adored female company, but if a situation had of been provoked.......
i think he quite enjoyed the gossip in st petersburg that something was going on..but in reality?sorry please point me in the direction of a thread if i've missed one similar to this, but i couldn't see one

I know there must be a thread about this somewhere.  However, I know that Rasputin made comments about the "old girl" and how he could make her do what he wanted.

I don't know that he would have taken her up on anything had she initiated it (he wasn't stupid and he knew where his power came from), but I think that he would say anything for "shock" value.
