Well, you all make me quite nervous with your extensive knowledge, passion for the subject &, no doubt, highly honed critical skills - but I hope you'll enjoy my book when it comes out anyway!

I wanted to advise that the English Charity, 'The British Association' supported the latest publication efforts of the history writer, Virgina Rounding.    I met Virgina during the time of the publication of 'Grandes Horizontales'.   It happens that my ancestral grandfather is mentioned, due to his involvement in Paris with the English born courtesan, Cora Pearl, while my ancestral uncle was cited for his involvement in Paris with the courtesan, Marie Duplessis.    I found this very interesting and the book is tastefully written.  However, when I presented this interesting information to my father he reacted by banning the book from the nursing home library after sharing some choice words with me.

Virginia's new book is on the tragic romance between Nicholas II and Alexandra.   The book contains new insight based on recent archival findings.   It publishes in mid-February 2012 in England.   I donated to Virginia an unpublished photo of Nicholas II and the British Association 'Charity' provided support for some of the photos located.

A book reading and signing event is now organised for Friday evening, 9 March 2012 at the Pushkin House located in Bloomsbury, London.   Complimentary wine, refreshments and Russian themed snacks will be provided.

Pushkin House
5A Bloomsbury Square
London WC1A 2TA

Do please attend if your travels find you in London that evening.

I'd sure love to come, but somehow I don't think I'll be in London in March! Can you, like, Skype it or something?  ;)

Hi there,

The new book about Marie, Nickys daughter, will be published on the 16th of December in the German http://www.aavaa-verlag.de/- as I ve mentioned before the author said that there ll be two volumes- the years from 1899-1914 in one vol and second one for the last years. You can pre-order it by now, unfortunately only in German, but mine will be good enough to read it and I have pre-ordered an edition of it.

And there will be a new book by Glenn Meade, Operation Romanov, where a spy shall try to save the Romanovs in 1917. Someone said the English title is the "Romanov Conspiracy". I m not sure about buying it, cause usually these fictional books are not my bowl of soup.

Bye!

In Royalty Digest and at the website of Van Hoogstraten www.hoogstraten.nl there a 3 interesting books coming out in 2012.

Dear Ellen, by EUROHISTORY (When will this one appear mr. Beeche? and are the photo's from the collection you did obtain a few years ago?)

Hvidøre, a Royal Retreat, by Corynne Hall (hopefully she doesn't make the same mistake by using "Dagmar" instead of Maria Feodorovna after "Princess Dagmar" married and became Grand Duchess Maria Feodorovna and later on Tsaritsa) and Senta Driver

Sandringham Days, by John Matson.

My appraisal of Alexander III - his life and reign will hopefully be published in 2012.

This will be the first complete biographic study of Alexander Alexandrovich written in English using primary documents sourced from the Russian Imperial era that were all translated by me.
