WOW! Well, I finally got round to reading The Romanov Conspiracy. Actually, I read it TWICE. It ranks not only among the best books I have read, but also the best books on the Romanovs.
It's a story about a last ditch rescue attempt to save the Romanovs orm execution and it's based on much fact, apparently.
I'm posting some info here on the author, and on the video for the book, published by Simon &Schuster, so that people can see the excellent reviews for themselves.

http://authors.simonandschuster.com/Glenn-Meade/76420929?mcd=vd_youtubeIt's simply a tremendous book. The story of the Romanov executions is well known but Meade inbues it with great a fresh eye, and takes the reader on an incredible journey
that keeps them not only on the edge o their seat, but desperately interested in the other main characters in the story, apart from the Romanovs.
What makes this stroy so incredibly good is the fact that many of the characters existed--I actually drove to the town of Collon yesterday to see the graves o one o the protagonists!!
I'd be very interested to hear what others think o this book. Right now, it's my favourite Romanov book ever!
