wow thanks to your colouring I can see the dresses better than before! ....looks like they were in a silk dress and then a sheer gauze like "coat"   with garnets ( or something shiny) and embroidery  was worn over the top . But the foundation dress is quite plain. This reminds me how they wore lace garments over  simple dresses as children

I like the Elizabeth and Margaret one smudged. It gives it a sort of vintage effect, kind of ethereal.
