A group of photos of a hunt in the 1890's , showing all that goes on...hunting  was a busy social  event , many people to receive etc.

Royal Hunt in Bialowieza Forest. Part 1

general view of the Imperial Pavilion, near the railway station platform Bialowieza,
the day of arrival of Emperor Nicholas II and his entourage

In this set one can see where that well known photo of Olga in her baby carriage was taken

Grand Duchesses Olga and Tatiana Nikolaevna   being taken for a ride  in one of the alleys of the park in the Bialowieza Palace

Fascinating. Thanks for sharing! Really brings some of the visuals that I was recently thinking about to life.

Love that train station in Bialowieza.   Reminds me of Cape May, NJ.   I must admit when I first opened your post I was a tinge disappointed they were not original color photos :)  You have us spoiled now BlessOTMA!   They were all wonderful -  except for the photo of the poor bison.  Thanks for posting.

Oh in that case  I would have put " COLOUR"   in the thread  title  lol...yes the bison photo was sad. I imagine these were taken for a keep sake album. Love how even the staff was shown . Indeed edubs31 , I was thinking how this shows something like a hunt in all it's stages. There is alot to royal events  and it's interesting to see that laid out
