About Anastasia saying "pig and filth":  I don't think it's as bad an expression as some of you are making it out to be. While I think it's at least possible that she had something of a potty mouth, I don't think "pig and filth" is an example of it. In fact I think it may be a way of avoiding saying something pretty crude. I'm old enough to have had a grandmother about Anastasia's age and she would use some quaint grandmotherly expressions instead of swearing. A little stronger than "stuff and nonsense!" but basically pretty safe.

"Pig and filth'  might have been used as we use 'bs' or 'pain in the butt' instead of the cruder forms of the words. In other words something fairly tame even in mixed company these days. A way of 'expressing' a swear word without really saying the vulgar word itself.

Re Reply # 182:    "...... may be a way of avoiding saying something pretty crude."   In other words, "It's not the GIFT, but the THOUGHT that counts!"  Humorous regards,   AP     (By the way, speaking of humor, I presume everyone has noticed that "mouth" is rendered in the title throughout as "moth" ? )

I know! When I first saw this topic I thought "What's a potty moth? Some type of moth?".

Perhaps a new species:  "Moth Pottius Anastasiaus vulgaris."   Humorously,   AP

I just have nowhere to post, Rodney.
I posted it here since this is where I know all she says are posted. I don't see that pig and filth as rude.
I, in fact, love it. I say that whenever I solve Math.

I've said that too. I'm in college now, and I need a tutor for math. One day, I said, "This stupid equation, such pig and filth!" I remembered I wasn't alone, and looked up to find my tutor giving me a weird look.

If confession is good for the soul, I'm now improving mine by admitting I hadn't seen  the topic 'moth' typo for what it was. When the mind is inclined to jump to conclusions, a mere missing 'u' won't stop it.
