In the interior decoration of this Messmacher uses mostly Renaissance motifs with elements of baroque. In the Cabinet of the Grand Duke Alexei Alexandrovich had furniture that was created for the project Messmacher especially for the interior and, therefore, was solved in the same style of decoration. In addition to the desk and chair, performed in the style of baroque, in the office were also Gothic chairs, a la Henry II ", box" Empire ", ottoman in the Oriental style, bronze chandeliers in Russian style, as well as Japanese shelves, lamps and other items. Cabinet decorated busts of famous series factory Chopin, depicting Russian princes and kings, as well as terra-cotta bust of Emperor Nicholas I and Alexander II, porcelain busts of Catherine the Great and Alexander I. In a small room - a cabinet-type, whose walls were closed cabinets of red polished wood, could go to the bathroom with a pool. In the collection of M. Messmacher Bathroom represented by five projects, longitudinal and transverse sections, decorated walls and fireplace, tile paintings and decorative projects overlap. The project was completed without modification. All the space of the space was divided into two smaller zones. One - to the marble bath, the other - for a small pool. The main bathroom is decorated majolica with polychrome panel depicting mythical masters marine elements. The nature of the mural panels resembles the plots of paintings of Italian majolica of the Renaissance. The dating of these panels in 1880 and 1894. to draw conclusions about the long terms of this work and its uniqueness. Preserved the signature of the artist-ceramist - V. Babenchikov. In addition to panel walls are covered with blue tiles with no pattern. This was probably due to the deployment of the class of majolica in the School of Stieglitz, founded in 1882. The floor was paved with marble. Maritime theme in decorating the bathroom was not chosen by chance. She was not only connected with this utilitarian space, but also to some extent reflected the professional interests of the Grand Duke Alexei Alexandrovich.
