I spent hours over the weekend trying to clean up and prevent the deluge of spammer fake registrations we are getting. It is now up to almost 500 PER DAY! I fear I got a little over zealous, and also didn't understand that putting certain email bans would prevent old users as well as new ones.

I humbly and hugely apologize for ANY inconvenience I have caused anyone.  Please direct email me at rob@thecellaraustin.com if you have any issues.  I will immediately fix the problems.

Ditto, Eddie.  I understand the explanation and accept the apology but just why would some silly spammer target this Forum ? It may have some contentious moments,but hardly merits a spam attack, IMO.

Actually Robert, the reason why spammers target our forum is because of the huge "Google-Rank" we have. We have so many users and links and continued dynamic changes that we rank up in the same level of traffic and "Google Rank" of 5, where Staples, Martha Stewart and other huge online presences are.  These lowlifes want to spam their ad links, porno and other virus ridden trash here because it has such high visibility.  We have well over a million visitors a year, that is a large number of eyeballs/1
