Robert, I congratulate you.  You are very fortunate  because weeks ago I asked a Moscow friend to get me a copy and they reported it was sold out in two days with no plans to publish more........In fact it's interesting what they said:

As for the Romanov exhibit I was three times there. First time I couldn't come in because one should have a passport to do this. It was hold in a very special place and a policeman put down the name and ID of everybody entered. The cataloges were sold in the first two days. I came there again yesterday because I tried to learn anything about republishing of a catalog. I hoped for this because there were a lot of other people who asked for a catalog as well. But they told me it would be never publish again unfortunately. I asked if I can find it in electronic way and they said some materials were uploaded by people in Internet. That's all I can say. I did my best.

Earlier, on the other thread discussing this exhibit, I had posted the information on how to order the catalog on line, but I see that the publisher states that it is out of stock now there too.

However, it might be a good idea to check back from time to time to see if it has been reprinted, even after the exhibit closes. So here is that information again:

sigh ...yes from what I could see on Paul Gilbert's site , it all looked amazing. It's hard to believe they would do all that work for so short an exhibit...but it 's great it was put together at all.

There are many photos in The catalogue
It's 175 pages of photos of documents,letters, bones,telegrams....you name it,
I saw the exhibition and it was really amazing.
Even not reading Russian well ,I got by somehow.
It's not possible to post all the pictures from it here.just to many,

By the way Columbia university has a small exhibition going on right now ,with few interesting pieces(photo albums ,personal objects,documents ) ,if I am not mistaking they have a copy of the draft of Nicholas II abdication

You would have enjoyed learning more about that for sure Jen. Really the artistic stuff was the most heavily covered. I thought it was a decent to pretty good event overall. Worth the trip up to NYC certainly (I live just outside of Philly). Can't say I was blown away, but then I didn't expect to be.
