I had a laugh when I came across this last night. Lol, Tatiana also served as Alexei's field glasses for his Irina!

It's soo cute they openly talked about this. We know the reason why but I thought Alexei would be ashamed to reveal his crush to his sisters ^o^

Never thought of this before, but just coming across it (and not having read the entire thread), I would think N&A would have allowed Alexi to marry for love, within reason. Just as Nicholas had to be rather insistant about marrying his choice.
