When I'm in the bath, the bathroom is closed. Tatiana will meow up a storm until I open the door again. She does not liked to be shut out of anything.
Fascinating, a Norwegian-Swedish-author called Beate Grimsrud (a female and better Knausgård, according to some) has written a novel that could have been about you, Tim, and Tatiana! In the book
Evighetsbarna (= The children of eternity / the eternal children, published in Norwegian in 20015, by Cappelen Damm) you are called André and Tatiana is called Kassandra. Let's hope it gets translated into English!
In that novel the nurse anesthetist André and his cat, which should be the most learned cat in the world, considering all the lessons on all kinds of scientific subjects that André gives her, live in an appartment in a big snowy, northern city (Stockholm), but there are also some very famous Swedish (children's) books about a man and his hyperactive cat Findus living rurally, on a farm: "Pettson och Findus", by Sven Nordqvist. Apparantly they have been published in English too, as "Pettson and Findus". The illustrations are hilarious.
