Still no Baby on the way for the Hereditery couple...
After nearly 3 years of marriage.
I wonder if we are beginning to see shades of Alexandra Fyodorovna in Hereditary Grand Duchess Stéphanie:
- A long time without any signs of an heir. (A boy in AF's case, any child will do for HGDS.)
- Hereditary Grand Duke Guillaume does not only look a bit like NII, but also appears more vivacious and youthful than his bride, whose reserve can be interpreted as pride.
- Extremely high-born, yet shy and retiring, compared to the elegant and vivacious lower-born female royals in her family and in the media.
- Of a somewhat introspective disposition.
- No interest in fashion. See
this interesting thread. In one of the comments it's alleged that before her marriage she always dressed very casually and carelessly, in the "just back from Katmandu" style.
