I received a copy of the original book on the slides that Dr. Iraida Bott from the Alexander Palace sent to me last week.  The slide of the Maple Room is amazing.  With the permission of the museums of Tsarskoye Selo we'll be posting some of the slides of the Alexander Palace in the book along with English translations.  The slides of the rooms of Catherine the Great in the Catherine Palace are also amazing!

This is nothing short of a miracle.  A sincere thank-you to Mr. Pyles and to all who had a hand in this.

In the video you can see the game room and Alexis Maple Drawing Room of the Empress.
In the video you can see her granddaughter Kuchumova - Victoria.
At the end of the video suggests that Bob Atkinson helped to have pictures.
I, Liliana, I say a big thank you to Bob for what he did. Bob, great, thank you very much from the Russian heart, loving their country and its great history.

Wonderful!   Thanks for posting Liliana.   Another thanks to Bob Atchison and all others who made this aquisition possible.   Can't wait to see the slides posted here.    I had Google translate the copy under the video.  It mentions that the flowers we see in some of the photos (I didn't see "flowers" but I'm assuming they are speaking of the greenery in the Maple Room) are just as Alexandra left them.   Quite a moving observation.

Bob will be given digital copies of all the slides as a thank you from the Palace Museum staff.  So everyone will be able to see them, on our site, at some point soon!

Wonderful news!
Bob, thank you very much! I would really wait.
I often come to Tsarskoye Selo and have friends in the palaces and restorers, but I can never ask them to show me the photos. So you can not do and I know it.
So I will wait for all the very pictures that protects Victoria. She is the granddaughter of Kuchumova, who worked at the Alexander Palace and did the evacuation of the palace during the war against the Nazis.

Lilliana,  Bob was very very close to Kochumov in the last years of his life.  He is so happy to be working with Victoria, the grandaughter!
