Can anyone tell me for sure who is in this photo??

I found it in another thread, listed by the poster as Nicholas + Alexei + Anastasia.

Another poster said Nicholas + Maria + Tatiana.

I'd always seen it identified around the forum as Maria and Anastasia.

Yes, it is Maria and Anastasia - but it isn´t Nicholas. This picture was most probably taken the same day:

I don't know, are we sure that it's the same day or that Anastasia is in the first photo? Her stockings are white, so unless it isn't the same day or those aren't legs and feet sticking above the girl being swung up (and her legs are in fact hidden by her dress), I'm not 100% sure that that's Anastasia. :/

I never noticed the stockings..... If it isn´t Anastasia, itś probably Maria high in the air - and Tatiana the other girls. But still I have my doubts.

Actually i have always been a "fan" of the dressing alike...it looks good and i like it even more when it's the same design but different  colour...

IMO Anastasia's wearing white gaiters buttoned over black shoes. FWIW, gaiters are much easier to take on and off than stockings -- though I don't know why you'd do so in the middle of the day.

I see what you mean, Sarushka. So the two photos could very well have been taken on the same day and the gaiters removed/put on when Anastasia's legs got warm/cold enough.
