I just might go see it. There hasn't been a movie in theaters all year that I've even just a little bit wanted to see.
I hear ya there...I'm excited for this too.
One thing that stood out to me in the preview was Daniel Day-Lewis voice. We have been sort of conditioned to believe Lincoln talked a certain way based on other films, documentaries and reenactors. Deep voice, proper and cathartic. But Lewis here presents the President with a much more simple and folksy accent and delivery.
Considering how much research was probably done by Spielberg and company, along with the fact that Lewis is a terrific actor who can seemingly nail any historical role dead on, I'd have to believe we have been duped for years on the true voice of Lincoln.
