FANNY LEAR LOVE AND SCANDAL IN TSARIST RUSSIA
« on: September 10, 2012, 05:15:01 PM »
I wrote a book FANNY LEAR LOVE AND SCANDAL IN TSARIST RUSSIA. My book has the translation of Le Roman d'une Americaine en Russie. Also it contains 5 years of research in Philadlephia, Washington,  France, Russia and Uzbekistan, and information never before published about the Grand Duke. It is being translated in Uzbekistan

I just purchased your book Eva. Was glad to see it available on Kindle.

I'm a little backed up on reading at the moment but will get around to it before long.

Thanks a lot, please let me know what you think when you finish. You are from Philadelphia, so it is another reason to appreciate it, because Hattie Blackford was from Philadelphia. Thanks again

Hi,

I just had a scathingly brilliant idea - a movie "Fanny Lear" with Meryl Streep as Alexandra Iosifovna and Ryan Gosling as Nicholas Constantinovich.
But who could play Fanny?  - Eva Langoria???
I leave it to you all to debate that question....

Then Ms Streep will certainly make us think that Alexandra Iosifovna was much deeper a character than it was in reality )) and the movie will be about her!

It would be a wonderful movie, but I would prefer Leonardo di Caprio as Nicholas

Hi,

I picked Meryl Streep because she's the best actress on Earth today and I like her!!!
She could play Aunt Sanny as she was - scatter-brianed and spirit oriented as often described.  But, she was glamourous and grand too;  and Miss Streep could play all of that.

I don't have a problem with Leonardo Di Caprio, but he's too baby-faced for me;  and I prefer Ryan Gosling for this role.

But, let's face it - - nobody's going to make this movie anyway - - it's just a pipe dream...

It sounds like the same story in "The White Knight of St. Petersburg"  see    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_White_Night_of_St._Petersburg

The White Night of St. Petersburg is fiction and my book is based on real facts and five years of research in France, Russia and Uzbekistan, not to say several Universities and Libraries in Philadelphia and the National Archives in Washington. There is information from Uzbekistan where the Grand Duke spent the last years of his life, never published before.

Just got through "Fanny Lear" a couple of nights ago and enjoyed it very much. Well done!

I was surprised not see a Wikipedia page for her, maybe you ought to create Eva.

The Russian Wikipedia has a picture of a sculpture by Tommaso Solari of Fanny Lear as Venus with an apple:
