Very lovely handwriting and watercolors as always by the girlies - written with so much love for their parents, particularly for their mama Alix. I am so fond of seeing these things: many, many thanks Joana!! Bolshoye Spasibo!!

In this case, perhaps it's either the State Archive or the authors of LPT who commited an identification mistake. Hmm, it's really hard to guess the right answer. Marie is a very good painter (and the best among them) but Anastasia may be capable of painting something as good as Marie's despite her being a 9 year old that time. I also believe she has a skill in watercolours based from what her aunt Olga said : )

Amazing colored fotos  by the most wonderful Yelena Aleksandrovna. Endless thank you very much!

I showed the photos to my younger sister who is not a Romanov fan and she is so stunned of their beautiful handwriting! Now she knows why I soo love them xD
Oh my gosh, I really like to write the way they write!! Their handwritings look so pretty as fonts, especially Marie's!!!  I hope a poem rewritten by Anastasia will be posted so that we can also see another sample of her beautiful handwriting!

So, Joana, you've given me a treasure worth gold!!!

Plus, a way Christmas is celebrated in Nicholas I's court:

"Christmas was celebrated at the Court quite in the German fashion. As pater and mater familias the Imperial couple themselves arranged the Christmas presents for their children, the nearest courtiers and the most faithful servants, and led everyone to the festively decked place under the blazing fir trees. . . "
