Is the fellow Christian meeting the Bishop of Rome a summus episcopus (supreme bishop, like her Lutheran collegues) or just Supreme Governor of the Church of England?

BTW QEII has a very schizophrenic religious persona, being an Anglican in England and a Presbyterian in Scotland....

The Queen's role in relationship to the Church of England is Supreme Governor.  This is an administrative role.  She is not a bishop, nor has any ecclesiastical role in any church.  The Queen has no official position within the Church of Scotland.

10 May 1949 – Princess Margaret meets Pope Pius XII.

"Princess Margaret received a private audience with Pope Pius XII during her visit to Rome in May 1949. Dressed in black, her head covered with a fine silk veil, the Princess attended the Vatican on the afternoon of the 10 May. She was accompanied by the Queen's private secretary, Major Harvey and his wife. She spent 20 minutes in private conversation with the Pope and on leaving he presented her with present icon. During the time in the Vatican she was shown the Raphael Rooms, the Sistine Chapel and the basilica of St. Peters.

A contemporary photograph shows the Princess after her audience, being escorted by a Knight of Malta and men of the Swiss Guard. In her hands she is holding the Pope's gift."

What I think is very interesting is that she does not wear gloves when shaking hands with any of the Popes.  I also think I saw a picture of her recently in a group setting without gloves.
