Forum Members Not Heard From in a Long While

I browsed on here alot before I signed up, and remember enjoying RHB's posts! Especially Days of OTMA'S lives and was gutted when that went on Hiatus I wonder where she's got to? Strange, I hope all's well with her!

  IMO, on a posting of 10/03/11, an impending/inserted attitude "break" is announced:  "Also it seems my addiction to computers has waned a bit......" I believe that shortly this person decidedly made a complete break for a newer interest/direction in her future life. As a long-term poster has said on the Forum before (re posters dropping out/disappearing):  "It happens all the time." Good luck to her in her new endeavors!      AP.

I know about that post, however, I just can't believe that she would disappear without some kind of announcement, or at least letting me know (like informing me that she will no longer be writing Days).  She gave NO indications that she was going to leave for good, just that she wasn't on as much as she used to be.  Also, this does not explain why she won't answer any e-mails or PM's.  Would it kill her to just say "Hi, I'm okay."  I hope you're right, AP, I really do.

Another poster who hasn't been heard from in a while is Elizabeth. I've had some wonderful dialogs with her. I hope she is well.

Her final appearance here was on the same day as RHB, November 16, 2011.

I think the worst part is the not knowing.  Maybe she did choose a new direction in her life.  On the other hand, maybe something terrible happened either to her or someone close to her.

That is why I wish she would get in touch, I really don't care about Days anymore, I would just like to know if she's okay.

So it doesn't sound like she was planning on leaving for good.  She herself said she would make sure she was around.  So why her sudden disappearence with no warning, no annoucement, nothing.  Why hasn't she answered any of the e-mails and PM's I have sent in the more than a year since her disappearence from this forum?  In short, where the heck is she?  What happened to her?  I considered her an online friend and now I have no idea if she's alive or dead.  Her continued silence does seem forboding.

I wonder how many of those that have vanished have in fact, died.  The only reason we know of Robert's tragic passing is that someone told us what had happened to him.  If not, we would be wondering "What happened to Robert?" just like I'm wondering "What's happened to RHB?"  Granted she was decades younger than Robert, but accidents happen.

I lost touch with Elisabeth as well, Petr. She's an admirable woman, for sure. I think she was ijust irked by some of the characters and personalities here, but I certainly could be wrong. And  like any middle-aged poster here she may have family to care for and think about. Plus AP Forum enthusiasm can wane even with the most dedicated. I wish her well wherever.

I know of a few members who left because they didn't like how Rob ran things, or agreed with some of his decisions.  It happens.  Most of these people deleted their accounts, to prove that they had no intentions of coming back.

  Well put, Rodney G. !  Prolonged speculation and repeated mental "handwringing" on this topic is, IMO, totally unnecessary. If former members do not/cannot respond, let it be so noted in a dignified manner, wish them well "wherever" (as you so correctly say), and move on.            Regards,  AP.

I also remember Elizabeth. Our discussions were very interesting and hot (discussions were started by two liberals, but at the end I was named as "a one generally only hears on FOX News and Tea Party radio" lol.  But anyway, her knowledge in the case of Russian history was enormous. Wish her all the best and waiting to hear from her.

That's quite a repair issue you have Tim, I'm guessing they need to special order parts?...sorry for the inconvenience it's surely caused you.

I’ve been last active here in 2010 and since then I have not been felt, but visiting here secretly and irregularly. I have to read lots of the threads here when I come back… and I miss this forum and co-members very much!
