Aleksandrovskii Dvorets Albom
« on: December 22, 2012, 05:47:25 PM »
Okay, I have been looking for this book on the Alexander Palace that I saw on the Tsarskoye Selo state museum website. It is by Larisa Bardovskaya.  Does anyone where I can find a copy of it?

It is only available through the State Museums of Tsarskoye Selo. Not an easy volume to find.

Thank you Forum Admin.  Looks like it is going to be even harder to find, the website says it is no longer available :(

Is this the one you mean?

Tsarskoye Selo: The Imperial Summer Residence

I got mine in trade via an AP member in St. Petersburg who purchased the book from the museum in person. I've never seen it for sale elsewhere since. It's a very nice book, but IMO the new Summer Palaces of the Romanovs: Treasures from Tsarskoe Selo is even better. It's also much more affordable and available.

Hi Sarushka! I have both of those books and I love them!  I got Tsarskoye Selo: The Imperial Summer Residence from the online shop of the State Hermitage website.
The book that I am looking for is,  if you go to eng.tzar.ru, go to research, which scrolls down, go to publications, and on the right side, 3rd down is the book about the Alexander Palace

Oh! Aleskandrovskii Dvorets Albom. That one is also excellent. Probably the best album available that's devoted exclusively to the Alexander Palace.

Are you in the US? It appears to be in stock at panrus.com for a reasonable price:

I've ordered from them more than once without any problem.

'Summer Palaces of the Romanovs : Treasures from Tsarskoye Selo' ~ virtually half-price from Amazon UK at the moment. Mine arrived recently ~ a sumptuous treat in every way. Bargain-buy of 2012 for me.

The Summer Palaces of the Romanovs is a great book, the book has a good mixture of new views of the palace and also old pictures!

FYI Chris, I altered the name of your thread to the actual book title to make it easier for others to locate information about it later.
