Helen, Princess Ileana of Romania was the youngest surviving child of Crown Prince Ferdinand and Crown Princess Marie of Romania. Crown Princess Marie of course being formerly Princess Marie of Edinburgh, known as Missy. Missy was Ducky's elder sister and the first cousin to both Nicholas and Alexandra. There are tons of pics of Ileana floating around the internet. The top one otma fan posted is absolutly beautiful, I think Ileana looked more like her aunt Beatrice then she did like Missy.

I too have always thought that was such a cute photo of little Alexei and Ileana in Romania. Alexei looks so pleased with himself. I dont know if there relationship was ever anything to really speak of, or little more than a simple distant relative relationship/friendship.

Hey AlexeiLVR~
Dont let some of our more senior members get you down. I personally have no problems with with Darth Olga, or whatever she is calling herself these days, or Lanie but just think they went a little hard on you.
We must all understand that not everyone knows as much stuff as everyone else. This a place for friendly discussion and above all learning, am I right. I hope this forum can serve as a means of expanding people's interest in all these people and not make them feel inferior because they dont know as much yet. These are just one man's (in this case women's) thoughts on it. I hope I did not offend anyone and I know my last comments will get me in big trouble but I am prepared for the concequences (I think I spelled that wrong).

Yes, she divorced her husband and took the veil as Sister Alexandra. That's about all I know.

Just because you are Russian doesn't mean you know more about Russian history than people who aren't. To not know that the family was imprisioned in Alexander Palace doesn't convince me that you know very much. Maybe you should read Nicholas and Alexandra by Robert Massie to refresh your knowledge.

I have to agree with otmafan,.. AlexeiLVR just because you're Russian,.don't mean you know all the facts. you Must understand that! i'm not Russian.....and some of us are older then you and know more.  . sorry but that the truth.

if you wanna know i'm almost 16 years old..

My dear, there are no excuses! You must be kind to others and they will be kind to you in return. :)
