Thurn und Taxis, the youngest line
« on: April 08, 2009, 01:57:34 PM »
I would like to discuss the youngest branch of Thurn-Taxis family, which was found by Friedrich Hannibal (1799-1857), fifth from six sons of Maxmilian Thurn-Taxis (1769-1831). Friedrich Hannibal married in 1831 hungarian countess Aurora Batthyany and they have four children, two daughters and two sons:
Lamoral (1832-1903), who later married countess Antonia Schaffgotsch, had two sons and their descent lives till today
Rosa (1833-1907), not married
(very known) Helene (1836-1901), lady in waiting of Empress Elisabeth, married in 1871 count Wolfgang Kinsky
and Friedrich (1839-1906), married with countess Marie Thun, had one daughter
Is anything more known about this branch of family? Any pictures? Where did they live, in Germany or in Austria?

It is hard to find informations about other branches of this house (and about the siblings of Albert I.). I have many books about this family, but no infos. Sorry.
I believe there is a book written by Helene Kinsky. Or search after the mother“s family, the Batthyanys.
