Interesting too as the Dutch Royals have the next most interesting Enthronement after the British that is...Theirs is a Coronation
but ours is 2nd as none of the other Royal & Imperial Courts hold these Inauguration/Enthronement ceremonies like we do here.
Belgium has a Swearing-in ceremony in Parliament,as do Sweden & Norway & Spain.Denmark has the proclaiming of the new
Monarch and the death of the former from the balcony of Christiansborg Palace. All in all always due to to be mourned predecessors.
Not here, - (and, btw, not in Luxembourg either) .We change when everything is still ok healthwise and looking good for the previous
Monarchs who will be known by their former title of Prince/Princess after the Abdication.
At the Prinsenhof,Delft, once the residence of Prince Willem the Silent, and venue of his murder in 1584,an exhibition is opened on the
Heads of the House of Orange Nassau,From Willem to Willem,it holds portraits of the 7 Prince Stadtholders and the - almost - 7 Monarchs.
