I think Alice told her grandson Charles that Andrew look like a blond Greek god. Andrew's brother Christopher was also blond.

The above is in Greek and descrives the first car accident in Athens, Greece, in 1907, where the car driven by prince Andrew hit woman deadly wounded by onother car just before his ... princess Alice was in the car as well.

Didn't know about that. The article did not indicate if he was driving...

The article did say Andrew was driving--Alice was his passenger. The 2nd car was driven by some ministers. I couldn't really tell if only Andrew hit the woman or if the minister's car did first and then Andrew hit her body.

Who known if the car was the one Nicholas and Alexandra gave them as a wedding present ...

The article states that the pedestrian was hit by the car in which the Ministers rode, who had just passed Prince Andrew's car. She seems to have come out of nowhere and tried to cross the street without precaution.

The poor soul's body was driven over by Prince Andrew and his car, even though the Prince tried to avoid doing so.

The King announced that his son, if guilty, would be prosecuted. Obviously, he was not.

Thanks, Art. I had thought that's what it said but, not reading Greek, I was going by babelfish translations. They aren't always the clearest.

Glad it was an accident. I wonder if Princess Alice was shaken by this incident as she was in the car too.

I would imagine driving over a body--either dead or wounded--would be upsetting to most people.

Indeed. Glad she wasn't pregnant at the time.

Indeed. and Andrew seems to have been a decent man by all accounts, even if his marriage did break up.

Not sure if the marriage crack up first or Princess Alice went crazy first. Prince Andrew was a broken man after he was exiled from Greece...
