...get enough subjective opinions/facts together to make one big ~truth~. .

I am not so sure that it is possible to derive "one big truth" from all of this.... only a bunch of independent small ones  ;) . And I am not sure if getting one big truth is even the point here...  (we never will anyway  :D)

I agree with you, Helen. I've always been skeptical of those who claim to know the "truth." My little "~'s" were somehow meant to indicate that there is no absolute truth. If you knew me, you would know that I have few firm opinions (but I do have some!), because, as the weird ass debate kid that I am, I tend to pick apart and be cynical about everyone's logic.  ;) But, we must always strive for the ~truth~, whatever and however unattainable it may be.

Well, we each have our own "truths" so that will be as good as that will get. Some of these truths will change, some won't, but very few are absolutes (although there are a few). In the case of politics, like for the purpose of this discussion - we won't even come close to any "absolute truths"  ;)

. . . and I think that that is beautiful! But I have to go study for a math final, which is anything but.
