Room number 3 on the plan of the palace. I'm in a red sweater. Around me Galina Semenova, who works in the palace and she spent a very interesting tour.

Living room of the Empress.

Stunning photos!  I have always wondered what the view was through the open door of Alexandra's formal reception room.  Now I know.  And the two libraries - I have not seen a contemporary photo of either of them.

Thank you ever so much, Lilianna, for posting these wonderful photos.

Now the entrance to the museum for the colonnade. Changed the entry to a corner living room of the Empress.

Hello guys !

I just came back from the Alexander Palace 2 days ago and I have LOT of pictures. Would you be interested in particular rooms or pictures ? I tried to take everything, but I'll come back there before the end of July if you have a special request. I can put up a link for an album on Dropbox if you want to look at them :)

Also, check out the Tsarskoe Selo Museum's website, they have an English version, where they post a lot of new pictures regularly. http://eng.tzar.ru/

Is it possible to see the right wing?  I would love to see pics of pre-restoration conditions. Also, could you take a pic from the double metal bridges on the other side of channel and looking towards the palace, like the one of alexie and tsar standing there?  That may be too much to ask, but I'd love to see a recent photo and compare from the past. Thanks!

I absolutely can't wait to see your photos! I'm interested in any of them.

My request is for some more photos of the back of the palace. I want to see what's going on back there since it looks like they've built a sidewalk going along the back.

Hello guys !
I won't be able to upload the pictures until July 21th maybe (i'm on a notebook while travelling and I have way too many pictures for its poor memory). You can still look on my blog (in French), I put some pictures, but there's not many. I'll try to fulfill your requests too, it makes me happy to have little "missions" when going back there.

My request is for some more photos of the back of the palace. I want to see what's going on back there since it looks like they've built a sidewalk going along the back.

I'll try to zoom on it, but when I was there 5 days ago, there was some construction.. so I couldn't see much.

Also, the second floor is now closed to public, which made me sad, but I'll try to speak my way out with a nice lady working there.. no results guaranteed haha !  Here's a picture of the back, next time I'll try to go nearer. You can see the construction.

Finally, there was still broken plaster on the outside of the palace but it's looking sooo much better than 5 years ago so I was happy.

Shame to see the damage there when I thought they had fixed the exterior by now.
THANK YOU SO MUCH MARIE-CATHERINE FOR YOUR PHOTOS! I truly look forward to seeing them when you return!

Thank you so much for the address of the TS museum website, the English version - the last time my sister and I were there in person, there was no one in the museum who could speak English and I know that they felt so bad for us (neither group could understand each other) but we were able to tour the whole museum without a fuss. We loved it.
